Hi, I'm Richard. I have over 15 years experience of making and repairing guitars. After initially training under the kind and expert tutelage of renowned local luthier Paul Egholm, I went on to work for the Billericay Guitar Workshop at Barleylands. I am also a qualified guitar teacher (DipLCM) and mechanical engineer (BEng Hons), so you can trust your guitar will be repaired to the high standards of both a player and craftsman.
This is a finite element analysis model of a neck, which I created to study the stresses created under string tension. The use of modern engineering principals can offer some great insight to design, material selection, and optimal repair techniques.
